TCHS Art Students Place at Caveland Regional Art Competition

Caveland Regional Art Competition

On Wednesday, March 22, Taylor County High School Art Students competed at the Caveland Regional Art Competition in Horse Cave, KY. The students competed against six other schools and over 200 pieces of art. TCHS students took home the most awards from the competition! The results are below.

Shawn Silva – 2nd place in Fashion Design

Rachel Edwards – 1st and 3rd place in Digital Art

Mya Adkins – 2nd place in Printmaking

Phillip Sneed – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Photography

Grant Rogers – Honorable Mention in Photography

Molly Bemis – 1st place in Graphic Design

Josh Martin – 2nd place in Graphic Design

Andie Woodcox – 1st place in Mixed Media

Sara Clark – 2nd place in Painting

Jill Ward – Honorable Mention in Drawing

The following students will advance to the Kentucky All-State Competition on April 22nd in Northern Kentucky: Shawn Silva, Rachel Edwards, Mya Adkins, Phillip Sneed, Molly Bemis, Josh Martin, and Andie Woodcox.

The art program at TCHS is under the leadership of Mrs. Christina Hicks.
