On Tuesday, May 16th, the Kentucky Department of Education held their monthly “KY EdTech Leaders Webcast” at Taylor County High School. David Couch, Chief Information Officer for the Kentucky Department of Education, led the webcast and was joined by six other panel members: State Representative John “Bam” Carney, Taylor County Director of Technology Bryan Cook, Taylor County Superintendent Roger Cook, and KDE technology representatives Mike Leadingham, DeDe Connor, and Phil Coleman.
The webcast touched on happenings in Taylor County School District including the various student enterprises available, the zero dropout policy, self-paced learning, and technology used within the district. The webcast also discussed funding technology for Kentucky schools from both a legislative view and from the viewpoint of the KDE.
