Superintendent Roger D. Cook & Taylor County School District Featured in Podcast

On Thursday, September 7th, Taylor County School District Superintendent Roger D. Cook recorded a podcast with “Education Reimagined,” a popular education movement focused on transforming education for all. Mr. Cook was joined by three Taylor County High School seniors, Lexi Raikes, Lauren Williams, and Weston Young throughout the podcast.

The podcast series, “Shift Your Paradigm” is led by Randy Ziegenfuss, Superintendent of Salisbury Township School District and Lynn Fuinihetten, Assistant Superintendent. The podcast focuses on learner-centered leadership, transforming education, and the barriers and challenges that a school district might face when abandoning age-based learning. It also discusses the benefits provided to students and teachers with a more innovative approach to teaching. The three seniors explained how performance-based learning and their experience with “Cardinal Academy” have better prepared them for college and the real world.

The podcast recording lasted approximately an hour and will go live in 3-4 weeks. It will be featured on the podcast “TLTALK Radio.”
