On Thursday, October 26, 2017, Taylor County High School FFA chapter was recognized on stage at the FFA National Convention at Baker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. They were recognized as one of only 10 Models of Excellence.
Nationally, there are 8,568 chapters and TCHS FFA has been recognized the past two years as a Model of Excellence. TCHS is the second Kentucky chapter to receive this honor and the ONLY chapter in Kentucky to receive this honor twice.
Additionally, Taylor County FFA was honored as a Three Star Chapter. This award is the highest award a chapter can achieve other than the Model of Excellence.
Taylor County High School FFA is led by TCHS agriculture teachers Lindsay Wayne and Ryan Williams.
