TC Achievement Award Winners - August

Congratulations to Taylor County School District’s Achievement Award Winners for August. The four recipients were recognized at the September Board Meeting on September 10, 2018.

 

The categories for the TC Achievement Award include TC Leadership (Leadership, Innovation, Team Leader, Project Leader), TC Cares (Service, Kindness, Giving of Time and Talents, Philanthropy), TC Pride (Achievement in the Classroom and Extracurriculars, Teamwork, Work Ethic), and TC Partnership (Community Partnerships, Parent Involvement).

 

Bobby Gribbins, Taylor County School District Resource Office, was the recipient of the TC Leadership Award for his diligence in helping update all safety procedures before the school year started. Mr. Gribbins leads the school resource officers and assisted in securing the 4th SRO for the district. His passion for keeping our students and faculty safe is greatly appreciated throughout our schools and district.

Bill Gilpin, Taylor County Primary Center custodian, was the recipient of the TC Cares Award. Mrs. Long, TCPC Principal, spoke on behalf of Mr. Gilpin. She said he is always willing to go above and beyond and completes any task quickly and efficiently. Most importantly, he always has a smile on his face and his good mood is contagious throughout the building.

Natalie Brockman, Taylor County High School junior, was the recipient of the TC Pride Award. Natalie is making quite the name for herself in the national archery scene. She placed 4th in Indoor Nationals and placed 1st in the Indoor State S3DA, Indoor S3DA East Regional, West Regional and Central Regional.

Ryan Maynard, Taylor County High School junior, was also the recipient of the TC Pride Award. Ryan went to the AAU Jr. Olympics in Iowa over the summer and placed 2nd in the 2000m. He is one of the leading scorers in the State for Boys Soccer and is one of the top runners on the Cross Country Team.
