TCHS DECA Students Attend International Conference

International DECA Conference

Two students from Taylor County High School DECA club attend the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida from April 27 - April 30, 2019. Representing the TCHS DECA club were TCHS freshmen, Peyton McCubbin and Jadyn Bell.

Peyton competed in a marketing event, while Jadyn competed in a hospitality & tourism event. Both students were honored to attend the international conference, as only the top three competitors from each state qualify to attend.

Peyton and Jadyn also accepted an award on behalf of the Cardinal Kroger Staff at TCHS. Cardinal Kroger received an award at ICDC for being one of only two School-Based Enterprises in the state of Kentucky that received a Gold Level Certification. This is the highest level achievement obtainable by a School-Based Enterprise. Cardinal Kroger is a student-operated business inside of TCHS that provides a retail store-front to the students and staff.

Congratulations to Peyton, Jadyn, and Cardinal Kroger! We are proud of your accomplishments and for representing Taylor County High School and Taylor County School District so well.
