TC Achievement Award Winners -February!

February Recipients

Congratulations to Taylor County School District’s Achievement Award Winners for February! The recipients were recognized at the Board Meeting on Monday, February 10, 2020.  


The categories for the TC Achievement Award include TC Leadership (Leadership, Innovation, Team Leader, Project Leader), TC Cares (Service, Kindness, Giving of Time and Talents, Philanthropy), TC Pride (Achievement in the Classroom and Extracurriculars, Teamwork, Work Ethic), and TC Partnership (Community Partnerships, Parent Involvement).


Lauren Phillips, Taylor County High School Library Media Specialist, and Austin Yates, IT Specialist at Taylor County High School, were the recipients of the TC Leadership Award.


In addition to starting their new roles at TCHS for the 2019-2020 school year, Lauren and Austin also stepped up as the Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) sponsors. This is a program that the high school has been wanting to launch for several years now, and not only have Lauren and Austin helped lead the program, but two of their students qualified for State during the Regional Competition.

Taylor County School District would like congratulate them and thank Mrs. Phillips and Mr. Yates for their leadership within our district. Good luck to your students at State in April!
