Congratulations to Taylor County Intermediate School 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Shea Poff!!!

Mrs. Poff has been nominated by her peers as a 2021 CU Excellence in Teaching Award recipient. She will be recognized at an awards ceremony in May, along with the other recipients.

This is her 17th year teaching and she says her favorite part about teaching is her students!! She says, "I love interacting with them, I love learning from them, I love helping them understand the content and I love when they see the connection between what they are learning and their lives!"

The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes teachers who use a variety of methods of effective instruction, work to meet the needs of their students, exhibit professional integrity, devote time and energy to improving professional competence, and help others to improve their professional competence.
