TCMS 6th Grade Transition Camp for incoming 6th grade students

6th grade Transition Camp Information:

Parents, please  bring your students to the front of the building (as you would in a regular school day when dropping off or picking up) to sign them in and meet our front staff! 

Monday, August 12th from 12:30 - 3:00: Getting to Know TCMS!

Welcome at 12:30 in the cafeteria, then:

- Meet your 1st period teacher

- Scavenger hunt to learn the building

- Activities

- TCMS Expectations

- Snacks

-Pick your locker!!!

Tuesday, August 13th from 12:30 - 3:00: Get to know your schedule

- If you come both days you will get your schedule early and learn the location of all classes!!!

- Walk your schedule

- Activities

- Snacks

We look forward to meeting you all! 

**Students are encouraged to attend BOTH days but if they can only attend one then that is okay**

Taylor County Middle School Open House for 7th & 8th Grade Students

On Monday, August 12th, the 7th and 8th grade night will be from 5-7pm with an Administration Welcome and Introduction at 6 pm in the cafeteria.

If 7th and 8th grade students and families can not attend August 12, they may pick up their schedules on Tuesday, August 13th or Thursday, August 15th after 9 am at the TCMS receptionist desk with Mrs. Amanda Witham.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Taylor County Middle School!

TCMS Open House for incoming 6th grade students will be August 13th from 3-6pm.

There will be an Administration Welcome and Introduction at 5 pm in the cafeteria.

If 6th grade students and families can not attend on August 13, they may pick up their schedules on Wednesday, August 14th from 1-3pm or Thursday, August 15th from 9am-3pm at the TCMS receptionist desk with Mrs. Amanda Witham.

We hope to see all 6th grade students at our Transition Camp and look forward to meeting all of our 6th grade families at Taylor County Middle School during our Open House!

TCHS Orientation/ Open House will be Thursday, August 15th.

Freshmen will receive info, schedules and will go through their school day in a simulated fashion during the 2 hour period of time so it’s important to arrive at 3 pm. Parents are invited to come at 5 pm and will have an opportunity to meet teachers and tour the school.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors will be able to pick up their schedules after 5 pm ( 5 to 7 pm).

Taylor County Primary Center will be hosting a Back to School Carnival in addition to their Open House on Friday, August 16th!

From 5:30 - 6:30pm families can visit classrooms and visit various community booths, which will be set up in the TCPC cafeteria.

At 6:30 families will meet in the gymnasium to hear from board members and administrators regarding the district's vision and attendance for the upcoming school year!

Directly following (approximately 7pm), food will be served and there will be a ribbon cutting for the NEW playground!!
