Over the last couple of weeks, Taylor County High School students in Mrs. Sode’s Forensic Science class had the opportunity to learn from different forensic and law enforcement experts.
Three specific individuals donated their time and visited the students in the TCHS science department to share their knowledge and experiences. Officer Jonathon Leigh, Campbellsville Police Department, shared with students the different aspects of a stabbing investigation, as well as some crime scene basics. Daniel Cook, Taylor County Coroner, shared with students the various components of his job, including determining time of death and cause of death. He discussed gunshot residue and other crime scene clues. Lastly, retired Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator, Trooper HW Nunn, spoke with students about fire investigation and all that it entails.
Taylor County High School and Taylor County School District would like to thank these professionals for sharing their time and knowledge with our students.
