TC Achievement Award Winners for May

May Recipients

Congratulations to Taylor County School District’s Achievement Award Winners for May! The four recipients were recognized at the May Board Meeting on May 13, 2019.

The categories for the TC Achievement Award include TC Leadership (Leadership, Innovation, Team Leader, Project Leader), TC Cares (Service, Kindness, Giving of Time and Talents, Philanthropy), TC Pride (Achievement in the Classroom and Extracurriculars, Teamwork, Work Ethic), and TC Partnership (Community Partnerships, Parent Involvement).

Amelia Bowen and Lauren Phillips, seniors at Taylor County High School, were the recipients of the TC Pride Award. The students were recognized for their hard work in helping with the middle school drama club. Not only are they both extremely involved with the Arts Programs at TCHS, but they are both very willing to give their time and talents to help with the drama program at the middle school. They are awesome students and have represented TC Schools well! We will miss them after they graduate.

Dr. Taylor Cox of Campbellsville Dental Care was the recipient of the TC Partnership Award.
Dr. Cox has been supporting teachers at Taylor County Primary Center all year-long, providing financial awards to teachers to help with classroom supplies, materials, and instructional aids. He is a graduate of TCHS and we appreciate the support and care for our students and staff.

Shaun Hord of H + W Sports was also the recipient of the TC Partnership Award. He received the award for his support of the Taylor County Athletic Department and our students. TC Schools has worked with H & W since they opened in 1969 but the partnership has grown exponentially over the past 6 or 7 years. We appreciate H & W’s support of our athletic program, our students, our district, and the community.
