Students from Taylor County Primary Center and Taylor County Intermediate School participated in a free summer camp from June 10 through June 14.
Each day was filled with different and fun activities!!
Day 1: Campers went swimming at Campbellsville University and ate in CU Dining Hall.
Day 2: Campers enjoyed the day at Green River Lake. Campers visited the US Corps of Engineers for a tour and craft activity. They also enjoyed a nature walk, the playground and a picnic.
Day 3: Campers participated in archery, a scavenger hunt and enjoyed McDonald’s for lunch.
Day 4: Campers enjoyed the day bowling and eating in the restaurant at Phillips’ Lanes.
Day 5: Campers walked to Miller Park where they played and had a pizza picnic.
The camp was funded by the Taylor County Family Resource Center. We would like to thank CU for allowing us to use their pool, GRL for our tour and craft activity, and Coach Eastridge and family for helping with our archery activity. Also, a special thanks to FRC Director Ann Mattingly for hosting the camp!!
