On Tuesday, October 29, the 8th Grade Cardinal Academy took part in Agriculture Day. The event was sponsored by Farm Bureau Federation and the Taylor County Extension Service. Agriculture Day was designed to promote and educate the students on agriculture.
The students' first stop was Brockman Farms where farm owners, Dwain and Theresa Brockman, led students on a tour of their industrial hemp farm.
Next, the students' visited Deener Farms. Owner Jeff Deener and Scott Sprowles led a tour of their dairy farm.
The final stop was Sullivan Farms where owner Chad Sullivan and Dr. Ben Cox discussed food safety, animal welfare, and the importance of agriculture. Students were also treated to a lunch at Sullivan Farms.
A very special thank you to Brockman Farms, Deener Farms, and Sullivan Farms for hosting our students today!!
